Guidelines for Manuscript Preparation

Prospective authors are invited to submit full-length original and previously unpublished papers via the OpenConf Peer Review & Conference Management System . Email submissions will NOT be accepted. The instructions and templates for preparing your manuscript for TSP 2024 Conference are listed below. Please write and format your manuscript according to the following guidelines.

  • Template: Authors must use the official TSP 2024 template in LaTeX , MS Word , or Lyx  format to prepare the paper (LaTeX is mainly preferred). The best way to have your paper met the format requirements is to copy and paste your paper into the template file.
  • Paper Length and Size: Recommended length of papers is 4 FULL pages in A4 (210mm X 297mm) format including figures, tables & references. Maximum 4 additional pages are allowed with extra payment.
  • File Format for Submission: Adobe PDF (.pdf)
  • Fonts: Embed ALL fonts in your PDF file
  • Other Recommendations: The title, authors’ names, and authors’ order with fully filled information must be the same as the data included in the OpenConf Peer Review & Conference Management System. Do NOT page number your paper and do NOT apply security settings to your PDF file
  • Note: Deviations from the above paper specifications could impede the review of your paper and result in rejection or could cause removal from the proceedings
  • Plagiarism and Re-use of Earlier Published Materials: All submissions will be checked for plagiarism using IEEE CrossCheck Portal. The Prohibited Authors List (PAL) Database will be used to identify authors who have been prohibited from publishing with any or all IEEE publications. Possible violations will be reported to IEEE for further investigation. Re-use of material previously published by the authors is allowed under the conditions that the authors cite the reference and clearly describe the innovative contribution of the TSP 2024 submission.
  • Review Process: Submitted papers will undergo blind peer-review process by two to four members of the Technical Programmee Committee and Organizing Committee Members. Student reviewers are not used. According to TSP policy all papers with one reject decision from the reviewers are automatically rejected. Review results will be sent to all authors by e-mail given during the paper submission.
  • Discounts on Registration: Students, IEEE Members, and TSP Reviewers will receive discount on registration fee.
  • Target Acceptance Rate: 60% (in dependence on submitted papers quality).

After Notification of Paper Acceptance Only

Make Final Submission

Congratulations on your paper’s ACCEPTANCE to TSP 2024 Conference. After you have made all revisions to your paper, to complete your submission to TSP 2024 you must do the following:

  1. Verify that your paper is created using the conference templates – see above in Guidelines for Manuscript Preparation.
  2. Using the IEEE PDF eXpress (to be opened from June 10 until June 24, 2024) verify that your PDF is compatible with IEEE Xplore PDF format standards or make IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF. Use the instructions below – “How to use the IEEE PDF eXpress“.
  3. After the IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF has been created, submit your final paper via Upload File tool. Please DO NOT change the file NAME generated by PDF eXpress. In addition to the PDF file please submit also the source files of your paper in .DOC or .TEX format (including figures) packed all these documents into a single .zip file. Before the file upload please make sure that the extension “.zip” is NOT with capital letters (.ZIP = upload error). Please use the same Submission ID and Password which you obtained during your manuscript submission. The deadline for Final Paper Submission is June 24, 2024. The deadline will not be postponed!

Registration and Payment

After submitting the final version of all your papers and receiving ACCEPTANCE letter, register the authors for the conference. Note that at least ONE author of each accepted paper is required to REGISTER and PAY the registration fee for their paper BEFORE the deadline – see “Important Dates“. Please confirm your IEEE Membership by filling and submitting the form available HERE or by mailing to tsp@asszisztencia.hu the scan of your valid 2024 IEEE Membership card. In case of Students registration fee, please confirm your full-time student status for 2024 by providing us a copy of your valid student card or signed letter of confirmation from your university by email to Ms. Sára Matók   tsp@asszisztencia.hu BEFORE making the registration. The Additional paper fee is available only if the first author is the same in all accepted papers!

IEEE Copyright and Consent Form

According to the IEEE policy the contact author of each paper accepted for presentation in the TSP 2024 Conference has to fill in the IEEE Copyright and Consent Form. The online IEEE eCopyright form will be available in the OpenConf Peer Review & Conference Management System  after the Final Paper Submission deadline and authors will be notified by email. Note that without this document your paper cannot be submitted for indexing in the IEEE Xplore® database.

How To Use The IEEE PDF EXpress (To Be Opened From June 10 Until June 24, 2024)

All papers accepted for the TSP 2024 Conference must adhere to the IEEE Xplore PDF specification. The IEEE PDF eXpress is a free service to IEEE conferences that allows authors to:

  • Make IEEE Xplore-compatible PDFs (using the Conversion function)
  • Check PDFs that authors have made themselves for IEEE Xplore compatibility (using the PDF Check function)

You can choose to convert your paper to PDF using the free IEEE PDF eXpress service and then have IEEE PDF eXpress verify it for compatibility, or you may choose to convert your paper to PDF yourself and use IEEE PDF eXpress only to verify it. Whether you do the conversion yourself or let IEEE PDF eXpress do it, all final submissions to TSP 2024 must pass IEEE PDF eXpress verification.

To use IEEE PDF eXpress:

  1. Access the IEEE PDF eXpress site: https://ieee-pdf-express.org/
    • First-time users:
      • Click “Create account”.
      • Enter 63128X for the Conference ID, your email address, and choose a new password. Continue to enter information as prompted.

Important note: Uploading a paper to IEEE PDF eXpress is not the same as submitting the paper to the conference. You will still need to submit the verified PDF in a separate step as stated above.
